Stick-figure Sunday practice

Stick-figure Sunday practice

Sunday stick people

Back in 2020 I kept a Sunday habit: one stick-figure drawing, one shape, five minutes on the mat. The first sketch was a mama with a long spine and a teacup. That was the whole class.

The drawings are silly on purpose. They take the pressure off looking like a magazine prenatal sequence. If the stick person can do it with a square head, you can do it in pajamas.

I still pin the sketches on the fridge. Kids think they are cartoons. I think they are reminders to breathe before the next snack negotiation.

If you want to start, draw a stick person standing tall, then copy that shape in your kitchen. No studio. No playlist. Just a pen and a bit of floor.
