On 10ThingsYogaMama you’ll find the tips and tools that have worked for me during pregnancy, labor and when I became a mama, everything from my yoga and dance background that has been useful in helping me to get by. And a bunch of cute stick figures too. 🙂
You can start here:
4 April 2023 taught me that the kitchen counter is a perfectly good barre. After a night feed I would stand there, heels heavy, hands on the edge, and wait for the kettle. Calves that had been gripping all night finally let go.
Step one foot back, heel toward the floor, both feet pointing forward. Soften the front knee. Breathe into the back of the lower leg. Switch sides when the toast pops.
This is not a workout. It is a way to remind the legs they can be long again after hours of sitting and rocking. Pair it with the posture tips if your shoulders are still around your ears.
If the floor is cold, keep socks on. If baby is in the carrier, keep the stretch smaller. The counter will still be there tomorrow.
